YETI TWELVE

This is a cover I just did for YETI, a great magazine and music comp put out – by hook or by crook – by Mike McGonigal.  Apparently this is what happens when I walk around downtown Boston, fly home, sleep for like three hours, wake up, and start drawing.

PAM Drawing Workshop for Teens

Dana Dart McLean and I are currently accepting applications for a free drawing workshop that we teach for teens each fall at the Portland Art Museum.  We'll meet Tuesdays after school for 12 weeks starting on October 11th.  The application deadline is September 20th and class size is very limited.  We're looking for 13 – 18 year olds who love to draw.  For more information, visit our page on the PAM website.

Here's last year's class.  We called ourselves MAD PAW, which is almost an acronym for Portland Art Museum Drawing Workshop for Teens.

Hey, I know that baby being abducted by crows

[image error]Mac is on the cover of the Willamette Week this week and there's an excerpt from the book within.  Wildwood comes out next Tuesday!  We'll be doing a reading (well, Colin will be – I think I'll be projecting illustrations) at the Bagdad theatre to celebrate on Tuesday night.  It's a ticketed event, hosted by Powell's.  More info here.

We'll also be heading out on a proper book tour in mid-September.  Details to come…

The One and Only Laura Veirs

Laura is a favorite musician and a favorite friend of mine.  I'm the proud illustrator of the cover for her beautiful LP July Flame and also of the cover for her equally wonderful latest, Tumble Bee, which she announced today.  More info here.
