K R (Kirsten) Solberg believes in the enduring power of story. She’s a wordsmith, graphic artist, and not too bad with a camera. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in writing from Metro State University, she dwells in the woods of Wisconsin with her patient husband and their two book-obsessed children. She is disastrously introverted and chronically sarcastic.

Kirsten has roots in St. Paul, Minnesota, where her storytelling journey began under the nurturing wing of her mother and co-author. Her father’s dramatic bed-time readings of Tolkien contributed to this obsession.

These days, literature, camping, anime, and deep-fried cheese curds fuel her creative fires. She wishes she had a cooler origin story, but those are reserved for the varied and d ...more
