UK BSB Blog Hop…
In preparation for this weekend’s UK BSB Bash (possibly not its official title) there’s been a blog hop going on over here. I’m up today, trying to figure out exactly what genre my books fit into. And mainly failing. But I had fun anyway…

Bold Strokes UK Fest – Nottingham 8th & 9th June, 2013
I am quite useless and scatter-brained and forgot that I hadn’t mentioned the fourth annual BSB UK Fest on here. So, this is my make-amends pimping post!
The festival runs next Saturday and Sunday (8th & 9th June) in the lovely and hopefully sunny city of Nottingham. Loads of UK – and a couple of not so UK – Bold Strokes authors will be going along for a weekend of panels, chats, readings, signings, sneak-peeks, BBQs, beers and mucking about. There might also be fish and chips – well, there wi...

Interview links ahoy!
Just a quickie to link to a couple of interviews I’ve done of late.
Last weekend, I poured myself a lager shandy (which is about as alcoholic as my drinks ever get!) and sat down to chat with Andy and Cheri on The Cocktail Hour podcast. Anyone who fancies deciphering my accent can download or listen live at that link.
Meanwhile, Hannah, over at her blog Hannah’s Nook, has been sweet enough to put together a Q&A with me. She asked some cracking questions and, as an added bonus, there are more fa...

Desolation Point Up for Grabs!
I always reckon that good news calls for celebration. Good news one: Desolation Point‘s release date is just around the corner. Good news two: BSB recently picked up its sequel, Tumbledown, for publication in 2014
So, to celebrate, I have three signed (or unsigned if you prefer!) copies of Desolation Point up for grabs, along with some delicious, only slightly tooth-rotting bars of Kendal Mint Cake.
To enter, just say hallo in this post, or, if you’re shy, head over here to my Facebook page a...

Sunshine, Shorts, Signings, and Silly Buggers
Find all of the above and more, over here at the UK Lesfic site, where I’ve been busy blogging about our recent jolly to Palm Springs for the annual BSB LGBT Book Festival.

It’s all in the accent!
Got home safe and sound after having a wonderful time in sunny California. I’m working on a bit of a write-up about the Palm Springs BSB Bash, but in the meantime, here’s me confusing the hell out of Carsen Taite, whilst wearing a pair of shorts, and giggling a lot.

Bold Strokes Books LGBT Palm Springs Festival…
The annual BSB Palm Springs bash is fast approaching. Held in the beautiful desert resort of Palm Springs, California, the event is a four-day extravaganza of author readings, Q&As, signings, discussions, casual get-togethers, and general shenanigans! It all kicks off on February 28th, and I’ll be going along to read from Desolation Point, frighten the hell out of folk by wearing shorts, and confound them by speaking in an impenetrable northern-English accent. Can’t bloody wait

Wrestling with the Unknown Unknowns
My favourite comment left in the margins during the editing of my upcoming novel, Desolation Point, was a slightly exasperated: “I know we’re in Sarah’s POV and she thinks British, but don’t you people ever wear pants?” To which there could only be one answer: “Yes, all the time. Right under our trousers.”
Ah, the joys of writing a novel with a bilingual point of view…
Sarah, as you might have guessed, is the Brit in the story. She has a “rucksack” not a “backpack”, craves Cadbury’s chocolate,...
