My Books at the Calgary Comics and Entertainment Expo
So my sister accidentally deleted the previous post when I told her I needed to add a note, so I'm putting back up.
I had a reader take my books to the Calgary Expo in Canada and because I couldn't be there and I heard that the amazing actors of "Torchwood" (by Russell T. Davies): John Barrowman, Gareth David-Lloyd, and Eve Myles were going to be there, I asked for her to take some of my books to them. I gave them to them as a gift, hoping that maybe they would at least touch them and see my name (and you know, one day, in my dreams, John, Gareth and I will make an "Uh-Oh Oreo". LOL). Pat, the friend and reader who took the pics, went above and beyond and got pictures of them as well.
*Note: Eve, Gareth, and John are NOT promoting my books, they just received them as gifts and I just think it's awesome that "Torchwood" has my books, even if they go on their bookshelves and just sit there forever, unread. LOL*
Here are the pictures of them with the books, how awesome is that?

The Alpha King Virtual Blog Tour: The Alpha King Character Interview with Talon Versuthion and Blazell Roughshire
Character Interview with Talon "Tal" Versuthion and Blazell "Blaze" Roughshire of The Alpha King
Hey Vicksters!
Tommy, of the Tate Pack, and I were so excited when Tal and Blaze stopped by the Purple Fantasy Den today to talk and share just three days before their book releases from Silver Publishing. We decided to do a little interview with them so that you could get to know them better. They talk all about their lives, their families, their mating and why they think Passion's Hero is going to be such a good series.
Tommy: Thanks for showing up Talon and Blazell, or should I call you Alpha Queen and Alpha King?Tal: You can just call me Tal and call him Blaze. Blaze: You may address us as Alpha King and Alpha Queen.
Tommy: Um... I'm confused, so what am I supposed to call you?Tal: (glares at Blaze) Blaze: (clears throat nervously) Tal and Blaze is fine.
Tommy: Right. Um... (chuckles and clears throat) So why don't we start off with you both introducing yourselves to the ones who don't know who you are. Blaze: Who doesn't know? Tal: Not everyone knows about us honey. Blaze: But I am the Alpha King. Everyone should know who I am. Tal: But Blaze, these are humans. They're not a part of the GPA, they aren't Tumarons or Vermithians or any other species living in our time. To them it is 2013 and they're still human. Blaze: Really? How fascinating. Are things still as primitive there as we were told? Tal: I'm pretty sure they are.
Vicktor Alexander: Hey now! We are NOT primitive! We may not be as technologically advanced or have evolved to the degree that you have, but we are a lot more advanced than our ancestors were. Blaze: But to us, YOU are the ancestors. Tal: Sorry Vic, he's right.
Vicktor Alexander: (huffs) Well... back to the interview. Tell us what book you can be found in and what series it is a part of please. Blaze: Very well. We are the main characters in the book, The Alpha King. Tal: It is a part of the Passion's Hero series from Silver Publishing and releases April 27, 2013.

Vicktor Alexander: Thank you. Now tell us all about where the two of you were born and where you meet.Tal: I was born on the planet Edifice, I believe, I can't really remember much of my life. For me, my life begins with my adopted parents, Markaela and Wendiford Sothsberg, and my older sister Josie. Edifice is a gorgeous place. It's covered by beautiful rainforests, with homes built throughout. There's a big city square where most of the businesses, schools and buildings are. There are a lot of animals and gorgeous plants all over the place. You can't walk out the door without discovering or seeing some beautiful new flower, animal or tree. It's breathtaking. I imagine it's what your Brazil looks like. Blaze: I was born on the planet Tumaro. It's known as "the wolf shifter planet" because it is where wolf shifters are born and where they live out their lives. Because it is a wolf shifter planet there are a lot of forests. The planet is pretty much one big forest with homes, businesses, and things built throughout. We too have a lot of animals on the planet, not just for hunting, but also for aesthetic enjoyment. Tumaro isn't a democracy, it's a monarchy. I am recognized as both Alpha, as we are wolf shifters, as well as King, because of our governmental structure. Tal: We actually met in the clinic of the palace on Tumaro after I crashed and... Blaze: (interrupts) Don't give away the story baby. Tal: (blushes) Right. Sorry.
Tommy: No problem! I do that all the time. Like the other day, Ton and I were talking to two of Vic's other characters: Elian and Tabansi, and they were asking about the Tate Pack and I almost told them all about Alex and Ross's story, which is called Impossible, and all about how Bobby Ray, who was killed in the first story, how he was into a lot more than we knew. You know he (stops when Vic growls). Oops! I almost did it again. (giggles) Now Blaze, we know that you are Tumaron, a wolf shifter, and both Alpha and King, but what about you Tal? What makes you special? Blaze: Everything Tal: That's sweet honey (kisses Blaze). I am a Vermithian.
Tommy: Vermithian? What's that?Tal: A Vermithian is a humanoid, or a cross between a human and another species or other species, that creates a new race of humans. Vermithians were created after the Great Destruction of Earth in 2408.
Tommy: WHAT?! The Earth is going to be destroyed in 2408???!!!! I have to warn everybody! I have to save Ton and Richard and Vet and the triplets and Howell and MIchael and their four kids and Maurice and Calvin and Devontae and Zander... I have to tell everyone to warn others (starts babbling to himself)Tal: (sheepish) Oops. Sorry about that. It won't matter. You'll be long dead by then.
Tommy: (freezes and looks over at Tal in shock) I'M GOING TO DIE?! (glares at Vic) You're going to KILL. ME. OFF? Seriously? Blaze: Oh for fuck's sake.
Tommy: Sorry. Sorry. I'm okay now. I'm okay. (does breathing exercises) Okay, I'm calm now. So you were saying that Vermithians were created after the (clears throat) Great Destruction in 2408. What can Vermithians do?Tal: Well, Vermithians are special because not only are we all considered to be classically beautiful, but we can either talk to animals, plants, or the heavens. And every Vermithian, male or female can get pregnant.
Vicktor Alexander: Wait. Men getting pregnant? Are you serious? I wrote that? Blaze: Very much so. It's not so weird in our world for a man to get pregnant. Everyone knows that Vermithians can get pregnant and there are other species who can get pregnant as well, but unlike Vermithians, their identities are kept secret.
Tommy: But why?Tal: Because while Vermithians can only get pregnant from their fated mate or mates, these other species can get pregnant from anyone. It's dangerous for them.
Tommy: Aaahh, okay. I get it. So Tal, what makes you so different from other Vermithians? Why did you deserve to have your own story?Tal: You mean besides the fact that I mated the Alpha King? Blaze: Thank you baby. Tal: You're welcome honey. (turns to me) Well, apparently there was an ancient prophecy given about my family and we're being targeted for extermination by some people. There's also the fact that I can heal myself and others, which Vermithians can do but not on the same scale that I can. And there's apparently something very special about me joining my powers with that of two other Vermithians. I don't know. (shrugs) I haven't really had cause to do it just yet.
Vicktor Alexander: Gotcha. So tell us about your mating Blaze and Tal. What is it like to be mated to each other? Blaze: Tal is nothing but a bundle of energy. He wants to go all the time. He wants to explore the planet, the surrounding cities. He wants to meet everyone and he wants to solve every problem. He loves to laugh which means he spends a lot of time trying to make me laugh. He can talk. Boy can he talk. He loves singing, he has an amazing voice, and he and his sister Josie love to go shopping (shudders). Being mated to him is like being wrapped in a warm blanket, drinking hot chocolate, while having your dick sucked by a master. Tal: BLAZE! Blaze: (looks at Tal in confusion) What? Tal: You can't say things like that here!
Vicktor Alexander: It's okay, really. The people who read my blog and come to my website are used to seeing filthy things on it. Please, talk more about your sex life. It sounds hot. I bet you two are into a little BDSM aren't you? A lot of my characters are. Blaze: Okay! Well, Tal does this thing with his tongue when he's giving me a blowjob, you know he-- Tal: AND that's enough of THAT! Being mated to Blaze is always an adventure. Sometimes he's this very arrogant, very sophisticated Alpha King and you're nervous that the stick up his ass is going to break off inside of him, but then he'll show you, once he finds out that he can trust you, that he has a wicked sense of humor. He's fun, he's brave, he's so godsdamn sexy that it's hard to get anything done. But more than that, he's a great leader. Everyone respects him, trusts him, and loves him. Being mated to him is being safe, protected, possessed in the best possible way, cherished, loved... (sighs happily)
Tommy: Wow. That was so sweet that I think I just got a bit of a tooth ache. So tell us about the rest of the Passion's Hero series. Can you give us any spoilers?Tal: WHAT? You want us to cheat for you and give you spoilers? (scoffs) Absolutely not. (looks around the room and leans forward to whisper) I had to make sure that no one was around. So the second book in the series is all about Blaze's brother, Buckington, but we call him Buck, and his mate, Percival, who we call Percy. If people think that our story is juicy and full of twists and turns, they are NOT ready for Buck and Percy's story. The rest of the books in the Passion's Hero series follows our immediate family and friends as we try to navigate through the conspiracy to kill off Vermithians and why that is. It's got a lot of hot sex, a lot of sexy men, and a lot of action. I think people are going to love it. Blaze: And as far as a spoiler, in one of the books one of the main characters goes through a major change after experiencing the death of someone they love. And that's almost quoting Vicktor Alexander's notes verbatim.
Tommy: Wait, you found his notes?! He hid them from me when he started writing Impossible because he said I kept trying to add books to the Tate Pack series.Vicktor Alexander: You were.Tommy: Was not.Vicktor Alexander: Were too.Tommy: Was not.Vicktor Alexander: Were too.Tommy: Not.Vicktor Alexander: Too. Blaze: Gentlemen! Can you please stop the bickering? You're supposed to be interviewing us. Tal: But Blaze, it was fun watching them argue. Blaze: No, honey. We need to finish this interview and get back home. We have five special people waiting for us remember? Tal: Oh yeah! You're right!
Vicktor Alexander: Please forgive us. We'll be completely professional from now on.Tommy: Exactly. (mutters underneath his breath) Was not. (louder) What kind of music do you listen to?Tal: Well, I love listening to pop. The more popular artists out there. Like Yebonca, Golden 8, Bolsten Jumbopond, artists like that. Blaze: And I must admit that my favorite artist is Lady Gaga.
Tommy: (gasps) I. LOVE. LADY GAGA! She's still around in your time? What am I saying? Of course she is. She's ageless, timeless, invincible. Blaze: (laughs) No, she's not still alive, but her music has survived, there was a huge chest full of music, books, movies, and dvds of television shows that were brought up with the surviving humans when they were rescued by the GPA. They were converted and have been around ever since. The shows Friends, Queer as Folk, and Torchwood are HUGE.
Vicktor Alexander: TORCHWOOD!Tommy: (rolls eyes) Please don't get Vic started on John Barrowman. I beg of you.Vicktor Alexander: But John Barrowman and Gareth David-Lloyd who played Ianto on Torchwood were so HOT together! Blaze and Tal: We agree.
Vicktor Alexander: See? (sticks out tongue)Tommy: Real mature Vic. (rolls eyes again) Now, back to the interview. What is your favorite thing to do? Blaze: Have sex with my mate and hang out with our family. Tal: Shop. Blaze: (looks at Tal) What? What about me? Tal: What about you? You hate shopping. Blaze: Yes, but I mentioned you in my answer and you didn't even consider me. Tal: I did too. I considered the fact that you hate to shop. Blaze: I can see that someone's going to get the paddle tonight. Tal: Promises, promises.
Tommy: How many sex partners have you had? How many at one time?Vicktor Alexander: Probably not the best question to be asking Tommy.Tommy: Why? It's not like I'm saying someone is cheating or anything.Vicktor Alexander: Because Blaze may be a king, but he's first and foremost a wolf shifter. Can you imagine someone asking you that question in front of Ton?Tommy: (mouth drops open) Uh-oh Blaze: (growls) Tommy: Just um... forget that question (flips to the next index card) And that one too.Tal: What question was that?Tommy: Um.. (looks hesitantly over at Blaze) What’s the kinkiest thing you’ve done? Stupidest? Craziest?Tal: I can answer that! Kinkiest is having sex with Blaze outside the palace on the ground. It was super hot. The stupidest thing I've ever done is having sex with Blaze out the palace on the ground. Blaze: Why was that the stupidest? Tal: Hello? I got major grass burn on my back. Blaze: (grins lasciviously) Oh yeah. That was a good time. Tal: The craziest thing I've ever done? Try to play matchmaker with Buck and Percy. Blaze: (wincing) Yeah, that was not good. Tal: Disastrous.
Tommy: Sounds interesting. Tell me more.Vicktor: (clears throat)Tommy: Tell me later.
Tommy: Share a little bit of the ‘real’ you with our readers. Any Dark secrets?Tal: I lost a big chunk of my memory when I was a kid and it made me forget some very important people. That haunts me and gives me nightmares. Blaze: (mumbles) My younger brother experienced one of the most horrible events in his life because I set him up. Tal: What? What are you talking about Blaze?
Vicktor Alexander: Sorry, that's all the time we have today. People will have to read the book to find out more. (shakes head) And man is that a doozy.Tommy: You know, you're kinda evil sometimes.Vicktor Alexander: (nods) I know. I've been told.Tommy: So long as it's out there.Vicktor Alexander: It is. And now, don't you have something to do or somewhere to be.Tommy: Nope! I'm all yours today. Time to be your muse and get you writing.Vicktor Alexander: Are you sure about that?
-suddenly a loud roar is heard. Tommy gasps-Ton: TOMMY!!!!!!!!! WHY THE HELL ARE MY CHAPS BEDAZZLED? AND WHY IS LADY MADONNA STREISAND WEARING A COWBOY OUTFIT AND IS THAT MY FAVORITE PAIR OF BOOTS DYED PINK?!
Tommy: Gotta go! -runs away giggling and screaming as Ton gives chase-Tal: And I thought I was bad. Blaze: I don't think anyone's as bad as Tommy. Vicktor Alexander: I agree.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you've enjoyed getting to know Tal and Blaze a little more. One lucky person who comments will win a free ebook copy of "The Alpha King" which releases on April 27th, 2013. Just three days away! Now, I've got to try and help Tommy escape Ton until the big cowboy calms down.
Pink cowboy boots? Geesh.

The Alpha King Virtual Book Blog Tour
Hey Vicksters!

Coming up in the next week I'll be over at Gale Stanley's blog, Faith Ashlin's blog, Iyanna Jenna's blog, Lindsay Klug's blog, NJ Nielsen's blog, and over at Honey Bunny Promotions blog as well. I'm trying to set up some other stops but there will be free giveaways at every stop so when I get the links and post them make sure you go and stop by. You're not going to want to miss them.
Here's the cover, blurb and an excerpt for the book to whet your appetite.
The Alpha King releases from Silver Publishing, April 27th, 2013. I'm so excited about it that I can barely keep still!
Excerpt:
Tal opened his eyes and looked around, wincing at the harsh glare of the light above him. Turning his head slightly, he glanced around the room and realized he lay on a bed, a very soft bed, and the room décor and furnishings had been done in soft golds and greens. Tal instantly felt at ease, not only the colors but, inexplicably, also by the presence of someone in the room, which didn't make any sense because Josie knew not to enter his guest quarters when they were given rooms to sleep in. He sighed and closed his eyes to return to sleep. His brain clicked into gear. He been headed off course towards Tumaro and his shuttle had crashed. Josie had been with him…
Josie!
"J-J-Josie?" he croaked.
Clearing his throat, he raised his voice and tried to sit up in bed, which he seemed incapable of doing. "Josie!"
The doors to the room flew open and Tal found himself blinking up at the massive, hulking man who'd rushed inside.
"Are you okay? What's wrong?" the gorgeous man asked.
Tal's brain effectively shut down again and he let his gaze rove over the man's features. Tall, really tall, gorgeous, with long black hair, a pair of the lightest blue eyes ever. While his skin had a darker shade than Tal's, it still appeared paler than that of other Tumarons.
Shaking himself out of his reverie, Tal answered, "J-Josie… my sister, where is she? She was with me on the shuttle. Where is she?"
Reaching out, he grabbed onto the front of the man's gray shirt and held on as tight as he could, which in his weakened state wasn't all that tight. What if Josie hadn't survived? What if she had and tried looking for him? What if the Tumarons had found Josie and made her their slave? Were they about to do the same thing to him? What if he never saw his sister again?
Tal looked around the room frantically and realized what he'd thought had been a bedroom, actually appeared to be a clinic. He began to panic, his breath coming faster when he imagined all of the horrible things that could have happened to Josie, while he'd been lying in a hospital bed, apparently being taken care of.
The big man frowned when he sat down on the bed. Tal noticed and appreciated the look of concern on the other man's face but he had to find his sister.
"There was no woman when we found you, beauty," the stranger said, his voice low and full of confusion.
Tal's brain paused momentarily at the endearment. The man didn't know him and while Tal found him attractive, he felt too stunned to really appreciate it. Then the other man's words sank in.
"What? No. No. No! No, you have to be wrong! She was sitting in the seat next to mine, she was there! You have to go find her! You have to go and find my sister! Josie! Josie!"
Frantic, Tal sat up swiftly, swaying a bit and pushing away the hands of the mysterious man who seemed determined to try to make him lay back down in the bed. "Let me go! I have to go and find my sister! Josie!" he screamed and got out of the bed and tried to race for the door, stumbling along the way.
The solid wood swung open in front of him and he barreled into a very wide, very firm chest.
"Whoa there, where are you running off to?" the man attached to the chest spoke.
Tal flushed with warmth. He wanted to wrap his arms around the body before him. He wanted to wrap his legs around the bigger man's waist and never let go. Tal raised his eyes up, past the thick, muscled, tanned neck to the square jaw, dusted faintly with a dark, stubbled shadow, to the aquiline nose that spoke of an aristocratic heritage, and finally to a pair of the most gorgeous, dark blue eyes Tal had ever seen. The man's long, black hair that hung to just below his shoulders and his large frame turned him into Tal's walking wet-dream come true.
Tal quickly reconsidered the crazy notion when the man in question growled low in his chest and clutched Tal fiercely to his chest before burying his face in his neck. Tal squeaked in surprise but amazingly did not pull away. He felt safe in the man's arms, even though he didn't know his name, and he never wanted him to let go.
Tal's world spun when the man in question quickly jerked him behind him, pressing Tal against the door.
He growled at the other man in the room, "Mine."
His voice sounded low and forceful, growly and full of authority and power. He would not be one to be messed with. He ruled in the room at that moment and Tal kind of felt happy the guy seemed to be on his side, even if he didn't exactly know why.
"Blaze? Are you saying that this… humanoid… is your mate?" the first man asked incredulously.
The man named Blaze turned to look at Tal, his eyes softening rapidly, a slow smile coming to his fac. He inhaled deeply, breathing in Tal's scent, his eyes closing in rapture before he turned back to answer the question.
"Yes Buck, he's mine… my mate."
Tal's eyes widened, another squeak escaping at the word mate. His mother's words about how he would feel upon meeting the person destined for him came rushing back. He stepped away from the man called Blaze and backed into the door behind him, his eyes wide and his body quivering in fear. Blaze met his gaze, his eyebrows raised in question
"Fucking shit balls," Tal breathed. "Hell no." He shook his head quite forcefully before he slipped back into unconsciousness.
Blurb:
While on a delivery for the GPA with his adopted sister Josie, Talon "Tal" Versuthion's space shuttle crashes onto Tumaro, the notorious wolf-shifter planet.
