James A. Haught is one of the best writers I know -- and he's also my brother. He's been editor of The Charleston Gazette for years and worked as a reporter and columns before that. He's had several non-fiction books published and won many national awards for his work. Now he has a fiction book that's free for Kindle today through Saturday. It's no wonder I don't blog more often! I stay so busy all the time with my writing life, which includes many diverse things. Moon Signs, my first novel and #1 in the Moon Mystery Series, will be out as an audio book soon, and I've been involved with listening to and okaying it with ACX.

I've just completed novel #3 in my series, Hunter's Moon, and am in the process of editing it. It will be published soon, I hope.

I've also been critiquing my son's latest. He's Ben Rehder, who writes the hilarious Blanco County Mystery Series. Hog Heaven is the best one yet! Loved it!

My last bit of news - Assignment Prague, my World War II espionage novel, will be free for Kindle today through Sunday. If you love international intrigue, maybe you'll enjoy this one.

Now back to my editing. I can't wait to get it done, because I'm eager to start my next novel, tentatively called Moonflowers.

I'm excited about the fact that I'm having an audio book made of Moon Signs. The project is being carried out by ACX, and I have a very good producer who has a voice that's just right for a cozy mystery featuring senior sleuths.

ACX requested a square book cover, and I had no success creating it from my Kindle cover. Then my graphic designer daughter-in-law had one ready for me in no time. I'm lucky to have a daughter-in-law who's a graphic designer. More about this project later -- it's proving to be most interesting.
