Lilly and Leon had an overabundance of cardboard boxes after moving, and due to their bouncing baby boy, plenty of housebound weekends.
To make their stay-at-home time a bit more fun, they started to recreate famous movie scenes using their leftover cardboard and other household objects.

The Latest in Cocktail Dress Technology
Yes, cocktail dress technology! Scientists from the University of Western Australia teams up with designer Donna Franklin to make the ultimate fashion statement—a dress made out of wine!
By adding special bacteria to the wine and allowing the mixture to ferment, the team was able to take the resulting skin and arrange it to dry on a mannequin.

Once dry, the dress is ready for a night on the town!

Their seemingly silly plan resulted in the first flamingo chick the zoo had in three years!

Colchian Swimming
Colchian Swimming is like normal swimming but your hands AND feet are bound together! Ana Lominadze, at only 17, broke a number of records with her swim across the Dardanelles Strait!
Climbing 120 Feet, with no tools!
The 120ft fissure in the Canyonlands National Park is infamous because its size is too wide to use normal climbing tools. Instead, Randall and Whittaker had to stick arms, hands, and even legs into the crack to climb up!
Real Life Hotwheels
Drivers Greg Tracy and Tanner Foust raced through a racetrack with a six-story double vertical loop reaching speeds as high as 50 miles per hours!
To stay on the loop the car and drivers experienced as much as 7Gs of g-force even upside down. That’s so much that they had to take similar precautions to fighter jet pilots to make sure they don’t black out!
The Sharp Ends
The Chinese martial art Qigong teaches the body to relax so that no pain is felt. To demonstrate, these Shaolin monks balance on the tips of sharp spears!
Getting over the Hump
The sport of the Tehama region is jumping over camels. Specifically jumping over many camels at once! Bhaydar Muhammed Kubaisi here jumps over three camels in one jump!
Rope Jumping
This crazy sport which has become known with thousands of young Russians involves jumping from mountains and bridges with nothing but a tight rope.

Bridal Race
100 prospective brides donned wedding dresses and running shoes to take part in a 150-meter race in Belgrade, Serbia, with the winner earning a free wedding dress.
Underwater Wedding
More than 200 SCUBA divers attending the wedding of Alberto dal Lago and Karla Munguia, which took place 16 feet UNDERWATER! The judge who officiated had to get a SCUBA certification in order to conduct the ceremony.
Wife Selling
Up until 1857, it was legal for a British husband to sell his wife. The going rate was $4,550, which is equivalent to $335,000 today.
Rescue Wedding
An avalanche survivor married her mountain rescuer. The ceremony took place 6,000 feet up on the very mountain where he rescued her.

6 Crazy Constructions Featured in ‘Dare to Look’
They say necessity is the mother of invention. Well, I’m not sure if any of these following creations are necessary, but they certainly are spectacular!
Here are 6 of the craziest man made constructs featured in our latest book, Dare to Look!
Suspended Potty
A luxury penthouse in Guadalajara, Mexico has a a toilet suspended on a glass floor above a 15-story abandoned elevator shaft. It makes for an interesting view while you are doing your business!
Hand-Chiseled Tunnel
It used to be the only way to reach Guoliang Village in China was to take 720 steep steps. Unhappy with this arrangement, 14 villagers banded together and hand-chiseled a 4,100-ft-long tunnel that is 360 ft up a cliff face.
• No electricity or heavy machinery
• Took 5 years to construct
• Used 10 tons of drill rods
• Went through 4,000 hammers
Knit Hotel
The Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton, England has a room where EVERYTHING is made from wool, including: vase of flowers, curtains, toothbrush and toothpaste.
Kate Jenkins made it using 11lbs of wool. She also crocheted the bedspread, and covers for the phone, lampshade, teapot and cup.



Scary Pool
The glass-bottomed pool at a Holiday Inn in Shanghai, China hangs over a 24-story drop, and lets swimmers peer to the street below while they are taking a dip.
Snail House
A five-story house in Bulgaria was designed to look like a giant snail!



Bed that makes itself
Spanish furniture maker OHEA makes a “smart bed” that actually makes itself!

Say Cheese!
In 2012 Jason Baalman made portraits of then competing Presidential candidates, Barack Obamaa and Mitt Romney.
Jason didn’t use paint, crayons, or colored pencils. No, he used over 2,000 Cheetos!
Coke Wave
Phil Hansen boiled 24 liters of Coca-Cola and took over seven hours to create this fizzy replica of Japanese artist Katsuskhika Hokusai’s painting Great Wave Off Kanagawa.



Bone Idol
U.K. butcher Tony Dunphy uses materials from his day job to make pop art. Seen here is a portrait of Amy Winehouse made form meat and bones.
The snozberries taste like snozberries
Wallpaper with 1,325 lickable chocolate and orange flavored stickers was pasted on to an elevator in London.
Germaphobe? No worries, each sticker would be replaced by an attendant after it was licked.

Super Cool 3D Drawings II
We featured Ramon Bruin on our blog and in our last annual Dare to Look! for his AMAZING 3D drawings.
You get a real sense of how realistic his 3D work is when he adds props like pencils, erasers, and his hand.Ramon makes his spectacular drawings using just everyday pencils flat, white paper, and an airbrushing technique he calls “anamorphosis.”
Ramon has an active fan base on Facebook where he regularly posts his latest creations.
We recently caught up with Ramon to see what new creations he has come up with.
