Okay, truth time here…I am not a Halloween person. Lots of people get super excited and decorate and I’ve always been meh…even when our girls were little. These people went a little overboard, doncha think?

I was also meh about carving pumpkins, but we did it every year (mostly so I could get the pumpkin seeds because I rock at making those)

So I searched for the most creatively carved pumpkins to share today…my Halloween carvings were usually two triangles for eyes and a big curved smile. Ev...

It’s a stupidly cold, lonely, snowy Saturday — I’m here by the fireplace with my dog, feeling a little sorry for myself, truth be told. Mr. James is working, my kiddos live far away, I haven’t gotten to see any of my James Gang or gone to any conferences in 2020 and I MISS IT. I miss hanging out and laughing with my friends, meeting new readers and generally pretending I’m a 22 year old who can dance till midnight and drink until dawn.

I like to cook, as you all know, and sometimes I fall down a rabbit hole looking for new recipes. Many are meh and I won’t make them again, but let me tell you…

I’ve been in a crap mood this week — my online Microsoft Word subscription didn’t save additions to a document. When it happened once, I thought, okay, maybe I *didn’t* save it and resigned myself to rewriting the 3 pages I’d lost.
