So here we are, the first cuts for SPFBO 10!As always, let me preface this with the fact that all reading is subjective. It’s that time of year again Factioneers! Time for the 10th Annual Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off to begin!I can’t believe it’s already been ten years! We at Fantasy-Faction have been judging the contest since its inception way back in 2015. Along the way we have discovered some amazing self-published books and authors and had the privilege to share them with you!

The Dark Feather by Anna Stephens delivers an epic conclusion to one of the best dark fantasy series I’ve read.This book has ripped out my heart and stomped on it a couple of times, but it also made me feel hope. There is a perfectly struck balance between the horrendous events and those (big and small) moments of gratification and joy.
