This was my favourite of the SPFBO books by quite some distance. It’s a powerful story about outsiders, how they try to fit in, and how they are treated.

The combination of lighthearted romance and quirky humor works perfectly here, and it’s a joy to read. The balance of both elements is refreshing, and it never feels forced, which is often the case with books that mix these genres.

Overall, Dead Cat Tail Assassins is an engaging read with a unique world, entertaining characters, and enough action to keep you hooked. It may take a little time to truly connect with the characters, but the journey is well worth it in my personal opinion.
