Munshin, Hangul: 문신, Hanja: 門神, literally meaning door god in English, is a deity of the Korean pantheon. His worship is strongest on Jeju Island where he is
the greatest of the household deities, thought to protect not just the door, as on the mainland, but the entire house. When someone temporarily leaves the house, they hold a ritual to Munshin at dawn, praying for safety and luck.
