Cherry blossom time right now in New Zealand as seen in our local park where the trees are planted around the traditional Asian red bridge. Makes me nostalgic for Japan and the lovely Hanami festivals I enjoyed there. I do miss that ancient culture and its history and mythology, so colourful and amazingly spiritual.

Welcome to you new readers, you 176 keen historical readers who've signed permission at the r...

Book Review

Seems about time I managed to get back to reviewing what I'm reading.

I'm back reviewing for fellow Story origin authors.

I've just enjoyed:

The Prince and Daiby Gloria Oliver

'The Prince and Dai' is a pleasant easy read, a simple story simply told. Dai and her friend Jaques make a discovery during a thunderstorm. The baby fur seals are back and living on the safe rocks whilst their mums go fishing. The water in the cove is too shallow to let sharks, orca, or dolphins get close. Even leopard seals have a problem hunting the babies here. There's a safe enclosed pool behind their rocks where they can cool off. It's been a sizzling summer so I've been in the sea too or under a shady tre...
