Just wanted to share the first pages of my soon to be released novel, Others Were Emeralds. After a period of writer’s block, this scene poured out onto the page and after many manuscript edits, has remained almost unchanged. Ai’s voice was so powerful and compelling, I knew she had an important story to tell. Little did I know how much of myself would be intertwined within these pages. I loved writing this book so much, and I can’t wait for you to meet my incredible cast of characters. I hope, like me, you will find pieces of yourself in them.
