I am a Wisconsin-based author, writing about my unlikely path from a delinquent childhood spent in Northern Wisconsin to becoming a noted urban educator.

My current work is a four-part ebook series that details a birth to 21 account of growing up with ADHD before anyone knew what ADHD was. In my case, it led to a personal war on boredom and life in the small towns of Northern Wisconsin presented an ample number of battlefields. From stagnating classrooms to stifling Quaker church services, the lack of something to do seemingly always created the need for making something to do; which in turn led to a lot of beautiful mischief.
