San Francisco resident J. Cornell Michel is a fourth generation writer and a first generation zombie philosopher. She works at a patent law firm during the day but lives to write about the undead at night.

Jordan’s Brains, Michel’s first novel, was praised by IndieReader for being “funny and fast-paced” and for “offering a new look at a dead-tired subject.” Zombie Zeitgeist is a chilling collection of Michel’s short stories, including tales of first love, revenge, deceit, a spurned lover, a devoted wife, and more. Michel’s second zombie novel will be published in 2015.

All of my posts seem to start with an apology for not posting enough. Since I like to keep with tradition: I’m sorry I haven’t blogged in months, but I swear I have a really good excuse. Last November I had a baby boy, and I’m head-over-heels in love with this tiny little person. Caring for […] Read more of this blog post »

“I like living in my head because in there, everyone is kind and innocent. Once you start integrating yourself into the world, you realize that people are nasty, mean creatures. They're worse than zombies. People try to crush your soul and destroy your happiness, but zombies just want to have a little nibble of your brain.”
J. Cornell Michel, Jordan's Brains: A Zombie Evolution

“The pretty ones are usually unhappy. They expect everyone to be enamored of their beauty. How can a person be content when their happiness lies in someone else's hands, ready to be crushed at any moment? Ordinary-looking people are far superior, because they are forced to actually work hard to achieve their goals, instead of expecting people to fall all over themselves to help them.”
J. Cornell Michel, Jordan's Brains: A Zombie Evolution

Thanks, Cedric! I appreciate it. I hope you like the Zombie Guide website :)

I'm going to read your book this weekend. I'll probably read it right before I go see World War Z to get me in the mood for some zombie action! Actually, I'm always in the mood for zombie action :)

Have a great day!

I am having a great day, thanks! I hope you're having a nice day as well. Your book looks really interesting. I'm going to download it tonight.

I write for Zombie Guide, an online magazine that posts articles about survival, zombie movies, zombie books, and pretty much anything that has to do with zombies. You should check us out:

http://www.zombie-guide.com/

We especially like to review books by indie authors who write about zombies. Once I read your book, I can write a review/article about it. We also like to have indie authors post their own articles on our website. If you're interested in writing an article for Zombie Guide about your book, or yourself, or just about zombies in general, you can go to this page and submit an article:

http://www.zombie-guide.com/write-or-...

Let me know if you have any questions. You can email me at [email protected]

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Cedric Nye Thank you for accepting my Friend request! I hope you are having a good day, J.
