Renaissance aka Friend or Foe

Friend or foe (Renaissance)


Monday morning, I rebirth myself

For the benefit to my health

Stop, retreat with stealth

To take stock and lower the flag of attack

My instinct is to defend what has become a lack,

To shake the weights off

The route takes me through loss,

Past restraint and discarded feelings.

From the days of this weekend,

Feeling weakened, I phoenix.

Attempt descent,

Like old hits of years no longer recent

Indecent in the nature

Of naked morning radio show host opinions

Pessimism the given,
