New year, new books!
It’s officially 2019 – and I’m so excited for all of the things that are happening this year!
Of course, 2019 is the year that Murder Most Unladylike Book 8 is published! In the UK and Ireland, it’s currently scheduled to come out on the 8th of August 2019. (In Australia and New Zealand, the date is usually a few weeks later, and for South Africa it’s usually about a month and a half later.)
I can’t tell you the title of Book 8 yet, even though I know what it is (and I think you’re going to love it!) but I CAN tell you that the cover COLOUR will be revealed on this website, as well as on all of my social media channels, at 12pm GMT on Friday the 25th of January.… Read more

2018: that’s a wrap!
It’s been an amazing year for me – I’m so proud of what I’ve achieved, and so grateful for all of your support. I’m reflecting on the past year in my video for this month, as well as choosing my very favourite read of 2018.
I’m taking time off from now until the end of the year to work on Daisy and Hazel’s eighth murder mystery – and spend time with my lovely family and friends – so this is my last website post for 2018.… Read more

Death in the Spotlight reviewed by TES
I’m delighted that Death in the Spotlight has been reviewed by TES in their Class Book Review section.
Natalia Marshall, LRC Manager at The Compton School, calls it ‘the best MMU novel yet’.
Gia, a Year 8 pupil at Compton School, says ‘I love this book because the two main characters, Hazel and Daisy, are brave and funny and they take you along on their adventures – you never know what is going to happen next,’ and Emma, Year 8, says ‘I like Death in the Spotlight because it has a lot of plot twists which keep you wanting to read more, which is what I look for in a book.’
Caitlin, Year 8, mentions my YouTube channel!… Read more

Mistletoe and Murder reviewed by The Horn Book Magazine!
Mistletoe and Murder is out in the US and Canada at last, and I’m very pleased that it’s been given a lovely review by Elissa Gershowitz for The Horn Book Magazine.
‘Stevens’s frost-dusted Cambridge … is an appealing backdrop for this adolescent whodunit, and Wells and Wong’s partnership, with echoes of Holmes and Watson, is as entertaining as ever.’
If you’re in the USA, grab your copy of Mistletoe and Murder now – it’s perfect for Christmas reading!… Read more

I’m very proud of Daisy Wells!
Death in the Spotlight has been out for a month in the UK and Ireland – and so has Daisy Wells! If you’ve read it, you’ll know that in this book, Daisy finally gets her first crush … on another girl.
I’m not going to tell you who, just in case you haven’t picked up Death in the Spotlight yet – but it’s a story line that I’m so excited to have written, and I’m thrilled at the responses it’s had from readers.… Read more
