Boxes of books showed up on my doorstep over the weekend, one for each brother. And for the record, Ganix came in first (because his was the first box I opened), and Zane edged out Ewan by two whole days. Quite the race!

I did an authorial reread of Meadowsweet and Harrow, partly for practical reasons. Along the way, I flagged several quotes that I can use for tweeting on my Galleries_Stone account. But I also reread for the fun of it. I love Tupper’s story. Lots.

Ulrica trailed after Aurelius, who aimed for the closest stream. “Will this suffice?” he asked.

“Aye, for its fresh.”

“Sea water wouldn’t work?”

50th Anniversary. It’s that time of year again! The San Diego Public Library honors book-creators every year with their Local Author Exhibit. At tonight’s reception, writers of all sorts of books fanned out through the stacks, searching through dozens of glass display cases to find that one special book they can call their own. My contribution for 2015 was Galleries of Stone, Book 3: Rakefang.

Hurlock’s long legs had no problem keeping up with the donkey cart, but Ganix had to jog. Before long, he was out of breath, so he Changed into a raccoon. Scampering up the man’s leg, he climbed onto Hurlock’s shoulder.
