Bailey Duane Whitlow was born and raised in the town of Lamesa on the High Plains of Texas near the New Mexico border. Duane grew to love and respect the people and history of Texas and New Mexico at an early age. A graduate of Texas Tech University, Duane later moved to the Dallas area where he established his business. Duane spent six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Duane’s love of Southwest lore never left him. Years ago he began to research and write about the area. So far the results have been two books in the Diary series - “Lincoln County Diary” and “Target: Villa!”. An autographed copy of “Lincoln County Diary” is available from Duane.
