I hope you’re ready to get started writing because we have a busy month ahead of us.

Airplane Quarantines: What happens?

Airplane by Syuzo Tsushima The person next to you on-board your flight is sick and vomiting. What do you do? What does the flight crew do?

Perhaps they die… Yikes! What happens when an airline passenger dies?

Airplane Quarantines

It depends on the airline and the severity of the illness. I’ve been on flights with sick people and nothing happened, even when the person was vomiting. But some flights are quarantined when a passenger is ill or suspected of carrying a contagious disease.

Here are the CDC guidelines for r...

Nine Dragons Waterfall (九龙瀑布) near Huangshan (黄山)

Hiking Nine Dragons Waterfall - Leaf Closeup

In early November, my girlfriend and I took a roadtrip south to Huangshan (黄山) and Nine Dragons Waterfall (九龙瀑布) with the hopes of hiking the mountain. From where I live in Yangzhou (扬州), Huangshan is a little more than a five hour drive on the high-speed way. Tolls on the high-speed way were 200 kuai (RMB) or about $32 USD, which was quite a bit more than I was expecting but not too bad in the scheme of things. From there we went to Qian Dao Hu (千岛湖) or Thousand Island Lake, Suzhou (苏州), an...

TOP 10: The Best Walking Dead Quotes

Walking Dead Quotes - Hershel

I Love The Walking Dead Not surprisingly, I’m a huge fan of The Walking Dead. I haven’t read all of the comics but I do watch the show and have read a few of the books (The Road to Woodbury, The Rise of the Governor, and The Fall of the Governor: Part One). The Walking Dead is easily the finest addition to the zombie genre – whether it’s film or TV.

Rick Grimes is a wonderful character – strong, troubled, loyal, and always tries to do the right thing. I like Daryl for his rough attitude and willingness to cut thr...

Shanghai’s Pudong Skyline at Night

Shanghai-Pudon-Night

Shanghai’s famous Pearl Tower shines bright along the Pudong skyline at night. It’s as beautiful in person as it is in photos. Despite the crowds, you won’t have any problem finding a wonderful view of the city along the river.

If you want to go shopping, you’re in luck. From here it’s only a few blocks to the walking street which is lined on each side with a shopping mall.

My First Two Months in Yangzhou, China

Yangzhou at Night It’s hard to believe that I’ve already been living in Yangzhou for a couple of months. Time is just flying by!

China is a unique country and interesting country that has been a lot of fun to experience so far. If you travel to China for your first trip abroad, it could be quite shocking. I had a bit of an unfair advantage since I’d already lived in South Korea for a year because there are many similarities between the two countries. One of the best things about working here is that my school...
