It’s come to my attention that a pirated copy of the English-language edition of Butterfly in Frost has been selling worldwide on Apple Books since September 1st. Aside from being illegal and grossly overpriced, I cannot vouch for the contents of the story. If you purchased an English-language ebook edition of Butterfly in Frost on Apple Books, please demand a refund. For clarity, the audiobook edition is good; only the ebook is pirated.
Butterfly in Frost is an Amazon Kindle exclusive, because it's published by Amazon Publishing and that's how they prefer to distribute their titles. Well, in this case, the pirate was charging 3 to 4 times more for the book than the retail price and hoping to pocket the money, and readers were overpaying for the book thinking they were buying a legitimate copy. I’m hoping I caught it before the pirate received any money and that I can get the word out to enough ppl so that those readers who were defrauded can get their money back.
