Jorie Thanks for taking the time. I will wait. But it does boggle the mind why Sylvia Day would mess up such a great storyline...I just finished the Driven trilogy by K Bromberg..one of the best I have read in a while. Three boks and you're done...the Fourth which I can't wait to read is about another character from the book...That
formula always work....
The more opinions I read on the matter the more I seem to NOT want pick it up...Thanks a bunch to you and Angie.

DW4 I'm not sure she has messed it up per se, but won't be sure until I've read the last book. I see CBY as helping us get to know Gideon better, Eva getting stronger and realising that she has to force Gideon to realise, if he wants to maintain a relationship with her, he has got to let go of some of his reluctance to talk to Dr Peterson about the past. I'm hoping that, having been introduced to some of his friends, we will see more of them in the last book (his banter with Arash, is lawyer, is quite funny). As they say a few times in these books, once we've read them all we can revisit and revise what we think.
I do sometimes wonder if we read too much into the other books, some parts of the storyline - mainly involving characters on the sideline - are probably not as important as we first thought as they are being closed down quite quickly. Other parts that I feel need finalising include Anne, Corrine, his family. Other things, such as Mark and Stephen's wedding, well it wouldn't matter if we didn't experience that. I guess the fact this is to be a tv series meant extending the story somewhat, that might even be why CBY has new characters introduced as friends of Gideon (although as this is the first book with his POV there was no reason to introduce them earlier).

Jorie OK. I had a week off. Since I could not go away on vaction I decided to re-read Crossfire...I enjoyed it as much as the last time if not more...Of course I bought and read CBY...I enjoyed it very much because let's face it Sylvia is a top notch writer and her sex sceknes are out of this world...But it has not changed my minf much that this could/should have been a trilogy or at the very least CBY shoulf have been the last book...now we have to wait for #5..
When Evan and Gideoan are not fighting their banter is so sweet...Love the Ireland angle..My guts tell me we have not the last of Chris Vidal. He is really pissed.
So in conclusion I got hooked again.
Sigh!
