T. Rosado This was bothering me, so I went and searched through my PB copy of The Hatting Game. The place mentioned was the "Port Worth Grand Hotel." I can see how "Port" could have been confused with "Fort" when reading quickly. :) I really think the author meant to keep the location vague. I even tried looking up Port Worth in Australia and nothing came up. So it might just be an imaginary town/hotel.

Karissa I actually just came back on here to update my comment! I did the audiobook version of this book and so it sounded like "Fort" to me! But I loved the book so much that I re-listened to it and now I heard her say "Port Worth Grand Hotel" and slowed down the audio to confirm she said a P and not F. You are right! Googled it too haha and couldn't find anything! Interesting that she chose to have a fictional setting for the book. Thanks for your insight!!

T. Rosado The audio must have been good since you've already re-listened. I'm a picky audio book listener, but I loved this book so much that I want the audio version, as well. Although, part of me wishes that the narrator had an Australian accent like the author. I guess that could be another reason as to why the author kept the location vague.
