He was too tragic!
the book was a struggle for me to get through, but it has some beautifully magical ideas, and the ending was perfect. i think the last 30 pages made the entire novel worth it
Still dont get the beauty of it even i understand whats about. There is so many ways to resume his book. Oh yes... i forgot he wrote it like that so people could say is art because it is complex and long.

the translation was realy bad and i was confused about the charecters but im with you.....its realy beatiful
Marque wrote a whole world of lost gods, archetypal characters, the very soul of Latin America. Remarkable. The best book of 20th century.
