S.P. What are your favorite books on hoodoo? I would be very interested, because it looks like our reading taste is similar.

theghostwriter oh hey SP! as far as good solid hoodoo books, you can't go wrong with Catherine Yronwode (she owns lucky hoodoo products) and her book http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64...... my other favorite is Stephanie Rose Bird's http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64... (for good old basic herb and root spells) and of sourse, for all things hoodoo, lucky mojo's forums rock: http://forum.luckymojo.com/ ... its quite amazing how empowering hoodoo can change a woman's life who truly feels powerless. just imagine, being able to protect yourself with a gris-gris bag from an abuser or hex a husband who won't stop beating you... hoodoo held a lot of hope for women who felt truly hopeless. actually i should say "holds" a lot of hope because even today, spells and rootwork are just as popular as they ever were. :0)

S.P. I did quite a bit of research along these lines for Delphine Dodd, the first Knock Knock related novella, which will be published in early Fall. But I wasn't familiar with Yronwode's book. Looks great.
