message 1: by MaryJo (new)

MaryJo Dawson many of us must wonder if our faith and steadfastness would be as strong if put in such a horrendous situation. I have to believe, as we are told in scripture, the strength will be there if we ask for it. I have read several books on individuals who faced untold horrors during prisoner of war camps, and those who survive and come through stronger of themselves and their faith always find a reliance above their own strengh.

Montana Phan 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:27-28 (ESV)

Beth That part of the book is the one I always use when describing her unbelievable faith. God works in mysterious ways.

Beth This book is in my all time top ten favorite books.

Janie Van Komen Reading the book helped me choose to write the story of my Aunt who was interred and was not a Jew. I went to Corrie Ten Boom's house in Harlem, Netherlands and sat there trying to feel the spirit of the people and the story. I have a conviction that we should not forget... We must not forget!
