I couldn't agree with you more.
Nothing more need be said after that, Bud. Concise, to the point, and very factual. It was a foregone conclusion that Ned was out of his element when Robert appointed him Hand. He was a soldier, not a politician, and King's Landing was no place for a man with any kind of scruples.
Absolutely agree. In a way he was a good man acting upon honor, but in another way he was also a naive fool. There were so many times when I wanted to slap him while reading the book.
