Kind of guessing that they might use book 4 and the first half of book 5 as 1 series (or maybe 2 if they think there is enough content) because the characters are split across the books. I'd be miffed if Peter Dinklage didn't appear in one of the seasons! Then possibly the second half of Dance as another series. Seems illogical to split the characters for the series, especially as the two books run concurrently most of the way anyway. Just a guess though.
I did read somewhere that if he dies before finishing he is not going to let anyone finish them for him but he has given the draft story to the tv network running the series "game of thrones"
Honestly, I don't think there's enough material that would make for good television to last two season between Feast and Dance. At best, they could shoot a slightly longer season and put those two books together.
