Robb did the same mistake as his father, fall in love with the wrong person ;-). But yes he shold have wed one of the daughters from house Frey. Seems in Westros most marriages are rather business deals :P . Sell your daughter to get more land+power

I agree with you. I think that's because Robb was too young and too much like Ned to realize that nothing the Frey's did was out of goodness of their hearts. Also, I do believe he shouldn't have broken the oath with the Freys. Maybe that could've changed everything... The Starks can't win, I suppose.
