I agree with you. MacFayden worked more the character of Darcy than Firth, because I saw the version of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth and yes, he did very well, but I think more focused Darcy in his expression and voice serious and Darcy is much more than that. Instead, MacFayden is serious and strict, but then shows his nice side, his expression softening further. Just as Austen describes Darcy after Elizabeth rejected him.
