Marie Welcome, Patrick! Looking forward to re-reading this book! :)

Cobwebs-Iced-Across-SpaceTime Ah! A novel of which I had been unaware! Definitely a warm contrast to my usual January-February marathon of Antarctica-Arctic-Siberia-and Mountain Terror!

Welcome, Patrick! Anticipating!

Happy to see you here, Reindeer! Welcome to the read! :)

A lot of readers are like that with reading books about winter while in "winter" but we need some fires to keep us warm too so hopefully this story will heat it up! lol :)

Great question, Marie. So, I was watching The Exorcist for the umpteenth time and my mind began to stir. I thought what if Demons coming up from Hell to wreak havoc on earth was commonplace? In fact, what if the Vatican in Rome knew about it and had been trying for years to stop them and keep it well hidden from the public? What if over the years they had tried devout theologians and also highly skilled military personnel? But what if they had all been killed by the various Demons and nothing was really working? So, I let that idea bake in the oven for a while. An old maxim in writing is to write about what you know. Personally, I have been in martial arts for over 25 years, yet had never really written about fighting and combat. Fighting Demons with Priests is a common theme in horror fictions and movies. But what if I had an unusual Priest? What if this Priest had unique fighting prowess paired with a solid theological background? I conjured up Michael Moretti as a larger-than-life character, but with a tragic past and very human flaws most readers can identify with. Sort of like The Exorcist meets Jack Reacher and/or Rambo, but does not always win? I am hoping the character of Michael Moretti resonates well with readers, as I plan to write multiple books about him and his supporting duo of cohorts, Roberto Giamatti and Cardinal Anthony Pussilano, as they traverse around the world battling evil in gut-wrenching, action-packed, bloody, thrilling stories. --- Patrick

Marie I know you said you are writing a sequel Patrick, but are you planning quite a few books for this series?

message 19: by Patrick (new)

Patrick Hi Marie! Yes, I'd like to do at least 7-10 books on these characters. More if they are well received by readers and popularity takes off! Thanks for the question!

Patrick Curious on thoughts from readers? I am VERY thick skinned and always eager to get feedback, both good and constructive. Authors need to rid themselves of their egos, as the ultimate objective is to please readers. Reader feedback allows us to get a pulse on whether we are connecting well or can improve. I personally, am of the mindset that school is NEVER out in the world of writing, and I am always seeking continuous improvement. I know no one can be perfect, but if I chase perfection, I can capture excellence. Much thanks to all reading the book!

I want more, more, more of this story! LOL Happy to see that there will be a series of books! I think that you could go far with making this a long running series of books!

Of course I am a little partial to your work anyway having read your series of books of The Night it Got Out.

So anything you write is up my alley and parked in my garage! lol :)

Marie I finished the book and loved it as much the second time around! Looking forward to the series! Will be anxiously awaiting book 2! :)

Thank you Marie! That is the pinnacle for an author, when a reader thinks enough of your story to read it twice and still enjoy it a second time! --- Patrick
