Deva Fagan I am so glad I read this one, RJ -- thank you for drawing my attention to it. And Warden Arlex = Jack Bristow is genius! You are right, and I think that's part of the reason I really liked the Warden and what he brought to the story (Jack and Syd's relationship was one of my favorite parts of Alias).

I was totally rooting for Jared/Claudia and I am kind of sad it didn't happen, though there is still potential I suppose. Now I need to go order Sapphique! Though having peaked at your review I see that may not provide me the resolution I'm hoping for. Alas!

R.J. There is more Jared/Claudia in SAPPHIQUE, though not enough of course, because there can NEVER BE ENOUGH.

Seriously, if SAPPHIQUE is the last book, I have to write fanfic just to keep myself from going insane.

But it is still a v. good book and well worth reading.

Deva Fagan I will read that fanfic happily!

Michelle I loved this book the same way! It was incredible!

Isis Awesome book! I liked it a little bit more than the second one although really enjoyed that one also. I wish she would write a third installment:)

Fisher has said she has no plans for a third book, alas.

So I went ahead and wrote the fanfic. :)

Sandy If I may ask, where is the fanfic posted? I NEED more Jared/Claudia. (I know it's shallow, but I was so disappointed by Sapphique's ending because of where things were left for Jared and Claudia.)

Why, hello, my target audience! You can find the fic here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6795502/1...

Danielle Sanda Huzzah, you know I support you in the never-ending quest to spread the word about Jared and Claudia's passionate romance that unfortunately only exists in subtext. Actually, the ending of Sapphique really did leave me deeply disappointed and in serious need of fanfiction. Is it my fault that Jared is clearly the only person that Claudia can even stand to be around, much less the only one she actually claims to love? Really, she's so careful most of the time, very aware of the constant political game that is her existance, which makes her recklessness when defending Jared that much more noticeable.

Ah but you know me, I could (and do) go on about this for hours. Incarceron is definitely worth reading. And FYI, someone seriously needs to update the tvtropes about this lovely book.

R.J., I forgot to declare my abiding support for your Sapphique fanfic. I want to print it out and glue it to the back of Sapphique and just pretend that it's the real ending. Thank you for satiating this Jared/Claudia shipper!

Yay, you liked it! I'm so glad. Thanks for letting me know!

Isis Really....I was never leaning towards Claudia and Jared. I never thought of them that way. I guess I bought into Claudia and Finn to much to ever think about her with Jared.

message 14: by Christina (new)

Christina Baehr Does the second book actually close out the story arc generally?

message 15: by R.J. (new)

R.J. Christina: Yes, but it’s also somewhat open-ended. There’s room for a sequel IMO, even if enough is resolved to make it reasonable for the series to end there.
