Richard Alex’s review of Frankenstein: The 1818 Text > Likes and Comments

Frankenstein is such a poignant book about humanity and how we treat (or mistreat) others. Excellent review, Alex!
So far as the amount of disbelief we are expected to suspend goes concerning this title, it might help to remember that just the concepts underlying Shelley's classic were riveting enough to drive interest when first published. The absence of precise technical underpinnings mattered less then to readers than they would if the book were published for the first time in our techno-savvy, and some would say tech-obsessed, modern world.
