Carmel Hanes Interesting....but I don't think it's one for me. :-)

I have had a few years away from reading, but this year I am determined to get back to reading the entire longlist. :-)

Carmel Hanes That's such an ambitious goal, Neale! Best of luck with it. I don't think I could make myself continue with a book that I wasn't enjoying.

Nat K Fab review doofy! Sometimes the books you get the most from are the ones where you feel zero connection with the main character. I love how you linked the title Flesh with the protagonist's carnal desires dictating his life choices.

I have this one reserve at the library. Not sure when I'll get a copy. But in the meantime, plenty of others on the longlist to buddy read. Can’t wait!

Thankyou kindly Doofster. You never know when a book is going to surprise you. I was struggling with this midway through, but the ending turned it all around and I ended up liking it very much. I want to read more of his books now. :-)

I love it when that happens. It makes the initial slog worthwhile.

Libby I'm glad the last chapter turned this into a more enjoyable read. I'm with you about the clunky dialogue. This one doesn't call to me, but I'll try to keep up with your reviews to see if some of the others on the list do. Great review, Neale :-)

Neale Thankyou kindly Libby. I have read three and am on the fourth, A buddy read with Nat K, "Endling". I have only read a couple of chapters but am loving it. Probably my favourite so far. :-)

Linda Great review. How would this work a an audio?

Thanks kindly Linda. Hahaha, I don't know if I would like it on audio seeing as though it was the dialogue that became very protracted and tiring to me. :-)

Susie The audio is so so good!

Thanks Susie, maybe I should have listened to it on audio. :-)
