This is excellent but I’m surprised you don’t mention the innumerable famous quotes from this book, many of which are used today: “The road to hell is paved with good intentions,” just one of them. I’ve been through Johnson’s works, Anatomy, Rasselas, they are good but Boswell’s “Life” is the best. It’s a bit like Plato writing about Socrates, there’s a whole philosophy in here….

Thanks. I don't typically add quotes on Goodreads reviews. I just write what comes to mind. But much of the book is quotable.
