Than Fonias I love this book and feel sorry for the way it was transfered to the big screen. The second book's (Da Vinci) adaptation was much better.
The missed a lot of crucial details and the assasin was awful..

message 3: by Vernon (new)

Vernon Harris I loved this book! Too often the movies made from good books don't measure up to the book. This is one of those cases.

message 8: by NIWAMANYA (new)

NIWAMANYA DESIRE Larry,if you really read the da vinci code, dont you think it is disgusting for people believe in such religions?how do they act in such away?if you read the scenerial that Sophie watched before she left her Grand-father for ten years before he was killed?

message 9: by Arun (new)

Arun Babu None will feel disgusted, provided they take it in a sense that it is a novel, and a very good one indeed in keeping us turning pages without even a break....But wherever if fanatics describes it, everything is lost.

Eric Hi Dan! Read all the Robert Langdon books. My favorites were "Angels & Demons" and "Inferno"! Tom Hanks makes a great Langdon and complements Ron Howard's direction well!

Can't wait for Book #6!

message 15: by Anjalika (new)

Anjalika Pati Hello! I am Anjalika Pati, 13 yrs old, a student of grade eight in S.T Agnes School Kharagpur, West Bengal India. I’m a huge fan of your books. I have read all your books. They have influenced me much. What is your next book? The book “ORIGIN” is the best of all. Your books on science and religion are very realistic and have the perspective of today’s world. Now I would request you to advise me about the types of books I should read (name of book and author). I will be eagerly waiting for your response.

message 16: by Ojas (new)

Ojas Arnav Hi Dan I am Ojas Arnav 13 years old studying in grade IX.
ANGELS & DEMONS This was easily one of my favorite novels. The story was really intense and I did not even look up when I was reading this Man! The Vatican city matches this novel just perfectly. Had the story been a little more focused then I would’ve been really happy. The fact that there was no illuminati behind the whole plot was a big blow but I still enjoyed it a lot. The hashashin was also a dent in the road I am gonne be honest with this- it is a must buy.
Simply a master piece

Abdullah Abdullah OPEN LETTER TO DAN BROWN
What I’m doing here is not writing an academic letter, it’s rather a heart-felt suggestion. I am a feverish fan of your novels, and I admire your brilliant way of tackling numerous fundamental issues.
I have a single verse of Quran for you. It will stimulate your incredible intelligence and motivate your creative curiosity, as it will bring you back to a decisive moment in your childhood that affected deeply your character. The Quran verse is:
And chide not him who asks (93, 10)
So if a priest tells you not to ask too many questions, Quran invites you to ask as many questions as you want. If Christianity restrains you from asking questions, Islam tells you you should ask all the complex questions tormenting you, and you will find rational, simple answers that will satisfy your sharp mind and put it at ease.
You have an inner strive towards the truth. You have a beautiful mind and a beautiful soul. You should discover and study Islam through a thorough reading of the Holy Quran. You will be thrilled to explore countless symbols and satisfying answers Quran is able to offer you. And here’s an “avant-gout” to motivate you to discover Quran: Robert Langdon’s favourite number is the golden ratio 1.618 (phi). As a matter of fact, the proportion of distance between Mekkah and the North Pole to the distance between Mekkah and the South Pole is exactly 1.618. The same thing is also true as to the eastern and western elongation. Astonishingly, there is a unique verse in Quran with the word Mekkah (or Bekkah) in it, this verse holds the golden ratio in it. There is a very interesting youtube video that explains this: Golden Ratio Point of the World.
In a word, Islam is a religion of faith and rationality. Quran and science go hand in hand. A perfect harmony unifies the two. You can check the works of Dr. Maurice Bucaille related to this matter.
Dr. Jeffrey Lang also has a magnificent lecture entitled “The Purpose of Life”. It’s about how he ingeniously deciphered some of Quran’s most beautiful symbolical secrets. I suggest you watch it on youtube.
I hope this letter reaches you, and you kindly take the time to respond to it.
Sincerely

message 20: by Nkwachukwu (new)

Nkwachukwu Ogbuagu Hello, Dan Brown! I have read all your books. When once a reader opens your books, there's this feeling that the one is walking into a classroom. One is going to learn, learn, learn. You're a wonderful writer!

message 21: by Nkwachukwu (new)

Nkwachukwu Ogbuagu Hello, Dan Brown, I wish you could find the time to read my novella entitled MY DUNGAREES. It's only 67 pages, and published in the Amazon Kindle Edition. Have a great time.

message 22: by Osama (new)

Osama Samir Please Mr Brown, could you tell me when will you publish next novel ?!

message 23: by Mark (new)

Mark Mickey Dan, I have read every book you've written and I can't wait for the next Dan Brown book to hit the shelves. Every single one was a nail-biter for me. Before he died, I read them outloud to my dad. All except Inferno, as it hadn't been published before he died. He loved them as much as I did. Thank you for giving us that experience.

message 24: by GM (new)

GM Mr. Brown, I must say out of all the books I have read by you, so far my favorite is Angels and Demons.

message 25: by Anthony Herrmann (new)

Anthony Herrmann I see that Dan Brown is currently not accepting new questions. But if someone who has connections with him could ask him. Several years after The Divinci Code was published, the English translation of the Gospel of the beloved companion was made public. First I want to know, did he read it? Secondly, would this information have influenced his storyline in The Divinci Code?

message 26: by GM (new)

GM When is your Robert Langdon #6 coming out?

message 27: by Anna (new)

Anna Hi I don't know how to ask a question so can I ask something from here?? I would be very greatful if you can satisfy my request. My name is Anna and i am a teenager. I really love your books and especially The Da Vinci Code. I was sad when I found out that there is no siquel of this book. I would really want you to write the siquel of the Da Vinci Code, as the other fans. I mean a story that taking place in Florence and Langton & Sofi Nevo as main characters. Sofi is my favorite character and I stongly believe that you should write a book like that. Everyone thinks that Langton and Sofi are really cute together (in a relationship) solving codes. Your fans need this book!!!! I would be very happy if can do it!!! Thanks you❤️

message 28: by Anna (new)
