I also distinctly remember a sequel! My daughter & I loved Ella (read it together) and were really looking forward to the sequel. We bought it and never could get into it. I wish iI could remember the name of it.
You may be thinking of JUST ELLA by Margaret Peterson Haddix, which I did NOT write, but it is a post-happy-ever-after Cinderella story in which Ella and Prince Charming don't get along.
Hi - I think I was thinking of Just Ella, too - I probably saw it in the Scholastic flier and mistakenly thought it was by you and a sequel to Ella Enchanted. I'm glad to hear that their marriage prospered in your world. I was confirmed in my mistaken belief by you mentioning Ella as a ruler in Fairest without mentioning her husband, but I'm happy to be wrong. Thanks for the quick answer! I enjoy your books.
