Hi Aarati, that's a great question and I wondered the same thing myself....but wouldn't the blood have gotten on there from when the mother and sisters were attacked that night by the vampire? Just a thought :) and the stains would remain dried on
Nancy, I am not sure there were actual remnants of blood on Elena's "blankie".
Raphael said that there was power in it, which comes only with blood. To this Elena replied that Slater never went into her room and therefore, no actual blood got on it.
The way I interpreted it myself, is that powerful energy remained in the fabric.
I'm really looking forward to it :) Love the question!
