Traci Is it true that technology, engineering and academic/professional careers are prized above all artistic pursuits in India? I have just been introduced to Indian authors Aravind Adiga and Amish Tripathi and seems both were IIM grads and in business - successful before attempting a writing career. (I think I'm correct about the schools?) So, is this one reason you answer no to this question about writing being a career choice in India?

Akshat Solanki Yeah, Traci.
But after realizing this, I and my friend are working on the same so that would help a lot of people to establish their career as a full-time writer.

Traci Oh, this is fantastic! I do have a slight grasp on the "obsession" for everyone to enter IIT or equivalent - whether they want to or not. I read a sad article about a young girl swimmer recently who was too pressured. I hope you and your friend have a lot of success with this task - it seems you may be on an uphill climb, but I am SO very glad someone is working on this. I wish MUCH success to you and your friend. Even more than that.

Warm regards,
Traci
