As a pre-teen in the late 70s and early 80s, I read all your young adult novels and they meant the world to me. I sent a letter to you (a rather long one, I'm afraid) and you took the time to send me a note thanking me. You can't imagine the thrill back then of finding a letter with your return address in my mailbox! I am 46 now and still have that letter. Thank you!
