Very cool. I think about these books all the time. I am a high school teacher so I read more for out of the box ideas then anything else. I have thought of a fun project that will use the magic premise. I will send you pictures of anything related.
I def. agree that this is one of the best ever YAL books! Personally, I could see a ton of check outs if it ever made it into the classroom. I do not teach (anymore), however, after reading and studying countless books during my YAL coursework, I must say~ KUDOS. I would love and adore you even more if you continued the saga. I love this female character. She is sadly enough, one of the few for me. Hard to find a nice balance in our contemporary world, but you did this so mesmorizingly...if that's even a word. Ha. It was such a solid, fluid read- def. took your mind of analyzing the character until a period of reflection. Was a page turner. Yes, indeed.
