Seconded the Mists of Avalon. Absolutely loved it.
Agreed, loved the book, it was amazing. (Though not as amazing as VA!)
I'm reading the Plantagenet/Tudor series by Philippa Gregory right now too, alongside re-reading the Georgina Kincaid novels again, and I actually wondered if you'd like those novels! I just got the vibe that you would.
