If that's the case, if I ever write a book, I'll never let it become a movie. Although, this does explain a lot of things.

I would honestly die (in a bad way) if they made a tv show. I honestly feel that they would totally mess up and the fandom would brew into a rage and there would be a HEEYOOGE mess.
FOX, please don't ruin Percy anymore. Hades will have to make up a new punishment for such a crime.
In all honesty, I think it would make a better TV show than a movie. Like Game of Thrones. Room for more detail and lore. Maybe, one day, someone will be brave enough to make it and probably release it on Netflix

If I could publish my books someday, I don't allow anyone to mess with it. I'll guarantee that I could participate in movies/TV series production.
Considering Fox ruined a lot of good movies like Wolverine and X-men, I'm sure that explains why Rick isn't too eager for new movies especially since the last few adaptations of his books were terrible
