Thank u so much for this wonderful reply and for sharing this! The book has indeed broaden my understanding of deafness and enable me to feel their world. It touched me and also inspired me especially how Annie overcame so much and managed to find love and spread love around her. Hope Tina in real life also achieved same :) Thanks again x
My life time profession as an educational interpreter for the Deaf as put me in the life paths of many Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. They all have captured my heart which is why I will always be an Educational interpreter and not leave to work community for more money. Through the years, I have seen plenty of heart ache as these kids traverse through a world of isolation, abuse and living in a society that is still ignorant and prejudice. Thank you for taking the time to help bring awareness to the Deaf community and their continued struggles with misconceptions and stereotypes.
I just wana tell you "thank u" for this wonderful, amazing book. I LOVE it. I was daydreaming a couple of weeks after reading it and even now I can't forget Annie's innocent and lovely personality.
