Omg I love will! There's a vulnerability to him that is so endearing. I think there is definitely room for more in him and Jason's story, especially after all of that time apart. *Sigh* Lighting and thunder are brilliant. Once Kelly took us through his version of events, he had me. Love his character and his edge.
I am still halfway Lightning and as much as I like Will, it's in his character that I realized that being nice in general is not nice at all (at least in a relationship) The scene where William admitted to Kelly that he's friends with Jared struck me the most. William is nice, but he lacks loyalty. Something that he showed in Spring as well. I know he portrays being human but I dunno....
I might be selfish but I just want a partner who, despite being nice, in one way or another, he'll always consider the well-being of his partner. I really tried to see every angle or side as to why Will has to become friends with Jared but it still felt betrayal to me.
Agreed, but it made me see there is more dimension to Will that we have yet to see, which is why I'm dying to get a story from him. Yes, he comes from a seemingly loving family and has respectable, loveable qualities, but I'm curious to understand his motivations behind certain decisions (good and bad) and am even more eager to get to see his experience in the coast guard. I feel connected to him because he masks emotion so well and despite always having the best intentions, tends to accidentally cause hurt anyway. He is also a real people pleaser, and sometimes those people don't have the wherewithal to be like "hell no I'm not going to be friends with Jared." Another similarity between me and this character. But I agree, it can definitely be interpreted as disloyal. I'm so excited for you to read nathanials story! God, it's so good.
I am dying to go on. But William is a very special character to me. He is the love interest of Jason Grant (one of my favorite characters in SLS) but I can't help but feel for Kelly. I used to hate him but I see many similarities in his character to me that I am dreading to read the part when he and William will part. So many romantic scenes and memories just to end of being not together. This might be because I am a hopeless romantic and I just love William and Kelly so much but I also love WIlliam and Jason. Oh GHAD I am so torn! Being a gay guy (like me) is hard huhu

But being a Jay Bell Fan, of course I'll still read this regardless of the emotional wreck it will bring me. Damn if I don't even devour Jay Bell's Shopping List
