Jerry Couldn't agree more. One of the greatest achievements in the history of the written word.

message 2: by Derek (new)

Derek It's really great to see an author publicly proud of one of their more popular works. Often times, I find authors like to promote their more obscure or ill-received works.

Imajica is one of my all time favourite works of fiction, and I can't give it enough praise!

message 3: by Jason (new)

Jason Imajica got me through the L.A. Riots. I've read it several times since-absolute brilliance!

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

One of the very few books I can reread and still find something new to appreciate.

message 5: by Catherine (new)

Catherine Watkins My absolute favorite out of all your books!!!!

message 6: by Daniel (new)

Daniel My girlfriend is in the process of reading this for the very first time. She's never ready one of your books before so I thought I'd start her off right!

message 7: by Stuart (new)

Stuart I love imajica, has to my favourite book of all time. My 1136 page/23 year old paperback has been glued back together several times. I must read it every year! It also helps that I have a bad memory! Haha

message 8: by Dustin (new)

Dustin This is so good to hear, Clive! A breath of fresh air, really, especially since I hadn't seen a lot of positive feedback on Imajica until now (I'm currently making my way through it for the first time, EEK!!)

message 9: by Fabian (new)

Fabian And short story? (My pick is The Forbidden)

message 10: by Ivica (new)

Ivica Now I have to read it :)

message 11: by Thomas (new)

Thomas I have the cover of the novel tattooed on my forearm!

message 12: by Heather (new)

Heather Fox My favorite! <3

message 13: by Bruce (new)

Bruce I have it, I still need to start reading it.

message 14: by John (new)

John Hancock I read Imajica and the Great and Secret Show... as well as the books of blood. You inspired me to become a writer myself, and I now have 8 books out, two of which are horror. But I don't consider Imagica horror, not in total, I consider it and G&SS as stained microscope slides of what life, and love, and death and cruelty and kindness look like through a prismatic lens.

Thank you so much for writing the things you have!

message 15: by Ardiril (new)

Ardiril @JohnH Imajica convinced me not to start writing. We both improved the world with our choices.

message 16: by John (new)

John Hancock haha Ardiril! do you mean you hated it or felt intimidated?

message 17: by Ardiril (new)

Ardiril Intimidated is far too kind a word. Exhausted is closer. Imajica convinced me that I don't have the right type of imagination for writing. Instead, I went with creating gimmicks and gaffs for magicians.

message 18: by Ardiril (new)

Ardiril ... and it pays even less than writing.

message 19: by Tina (new)

Tina My favorite book. It was the first time I read a book and felt compelled to write the author; I was so moved by the story and the characters.

message 20: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Howl My fave book too. Pie and Judith were gifts to us all. Thank you.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I adore this story.

message 22: by Elina (new)

Elina I haven't read Imajica, but The Books of Blood were important to me as a teenager.:) I read them again as an adult, and could still consider as some of the best horror stories.:) At some point I need to take a look at Imajica and many others I've missed.;)

message 23: by Darren (new)

Darren Pie'oh'Pah and Gentle crossing the mountains of the Fifth Dominion by doeki. First read that scene over twenty years ago, and it still lives in me.

message 24: by Rich (new)

Rich imajica is my favorite book of all time. thanks for this gem!

message 25: by Jam (new)

Jam Sinclair Just finished it. OMG. Just wow. I am in awe. I can't switch off from it and am sad to have finished it. Amazing writing, amazing journey. Thankyou

message 26: by Brian (new)

Brian V. Thank you for this gift to yourself Mr. Barker. Imajica would make a great series. I would love to see the worlds come to life. Has anyone ever tried?

message 27: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Jay Going to read Imajica now, I've read many of Clive Barker's books, my favourite so far is Weaveworld. The world building and characters are out of this world.
