My odd "?" at the end was required in order for you to see my comment. 'GR' demands a question to post. I see that you and I served in the Army. We both, then, swore to support and defend the Constitution, etc. I gather that the editor did not since so many truly objectionable things, too many, are in print without an editor doing what was done to you.
