This is awesome. I love hearing that Chaos has roots in real life experience!!!!!! Gahhhh that's kind of like Santa being real. And it sounds like you've really lived :) makes sense with your themes! Respect. I love Bear. I don't know Bear, but I love him. I grew up in a Hell's Angels neighborhood and always had a soft spot for them. I also had a huge crush on one with an enormous ginger beard who used to pop wheelies for me when I was 5 or 6. Think he knew I was smitten. That's why I love your books--they don't take misunderstood side of bikerdom and amp it up. They take the core, pure americana values underlying that lifestyle and treat them with respect. So interesting that you were abroad when these characters came to you! I'm all for people getting their kicks in any way, shape or form they choose, but I have found that with biker heroes and my personal taste, I either get the best ever (Chaos) or all kinds of tropes I'm not about. Anyway, thanks for the thoughtful answer. I'm 100% going to go buy that AP fragrance now and maybe a Lanie silk kimono to go with it and figure out how to go to Sturgis *hair toss*. I've gotten my gfs hooked on your books so one of them will have to go with me. Also going to reread Walk Through Fire next just have to mentally prepare, yknow as you do for Walk Through Fire, and will use it as an excuse to pester you with more questions.
