I love this book so. How did you feel about the movie? I thought it was terribly soulless compared to the book and was amazed by how much acclaim it got.
I love this book too - I even reviewed it here; there were some sections that were just laugh out loud hilarious. I have a sense that Edith Wharton influenced this genre tremendously and I see echos of her style in "American Psycho" (for example).
