That is a good answer. I'd still go to the holodeck to play with lightsabers, which I could't do anyway as a stormtropper...
Definitely NG redshirt. That ship is big enough to hideout on for quite a while. Besides, the only real distraction the ToS ship had was really short uniform skirts.
