Rian Anderson Thank you for answering, it means a lot! I can't wait to meet this new character Nic, he sounds so cool. I cannot wait to experience his adventure in your new book!. Thanks again!

Risa Yep...I read Mark of the Thief right away after finishing the Ascendance Trilogy and I couldn't help comparing Nic with Jaron. They're like the exact same characters, yeah...however poor Nic. Jaron stole my heart first! <3

Andie N I don't think Nic and Jaron are the same, and idk, it seems kind of insulting to suggest that they are the same, because that implies the author isn't original enough to come up with different people and personalities. Nic and Jaron do share qualities, but they are nowhere near being the same character.

Salter Clark THE MARK OF THE THIEF IS OFFENSIVE! The roman's made cheap knock offs of the greek gods, and Diana, the VILLIAN is the knock off of Artemis. ARTEMIS DESERVES RESPECT PEOPLE!

Salter Clark Although putting that aside it's a good plot.

Brenna Carmichael I would like to note another similarity I noted recently. Jaron gets branded with the mark of the pirates. A pirate is just another form of a thief.

They both have the Mark of the Thief.
